Day 3

Legend of the King Arthur

We set forth on a journey westward, finding ourselves amidst the enchanting landscapes of Cornwall. This southwestern coastal peninsula echoes with the legendary tales of King Arthur’s birthplace. Our retreat was a charming Airbnb—an annexed farmhouse nestled beside a slightly larger home—graciously hosted by a local teacher. Cornwall, though remote, welcomed us with an unexpected coolness in the midst of summer.

Exploring the coastal town of Tintagel, we chanced upon the venerable Tintagel Castle. The winds roared mightily along the cliffs, presenting a delightful challenge to our footsteps. Along the cliff’s edge, we savored a breathtaking coastal walk. As we descended into the valley below, Janly discovered her lost iPhone. We hurriedly retraced our steps along the grassy path, a couple passing by offered their assistance. They had found Janly’s iPhone on the hill and were delighted to reunite it with its owner. A magical day indeed, celebrating the joy of a lost and found.
